Why Aaegis
Designed around real life.
We did not start with a specification sheet. We started with the awkward, unglamorous problems that come up in daily care, and built backwards from those.
How Aaegis protects
Absorb. Lock. Protect. Comfort.
Four things happen inside the product, in that order, every time it is used.
- 01
Absorb
The ultra absorbent core with SAP draws liquid in the moment it arrives, instead of letting it spread across the surface.
- 02
Lock
SAP turns that liquid into a gel and holds it inside the core, even under the pressure of someone lying on it.
- 03
Protect
Double leak guards and elasticated barriers hold everything where it belongs, through turning and moving.
- 04
Comfort
A soft, cloth like backsheet lets air circulate, which is the part that decides whether long wear is tolerable.
The details
Eight decisions you can feel.
None of these are new to the industry. What matters is that all of them are present in the same product, at a price an Indian household can repeat every month.
Ultra absorbent core
Super absorbent polymer takes liquid in fast and turns it into a gel, so it does not come back out under pressure.
Double leak guards
Raised elasticated barriers on both sides catch what the core has not yet taken, sitting or lying down.
Wetness indicator
A line on the outside fades once the product is wet, so a caregiver can check without undressing anybody.
Refastenable magic tapes
Open, adjust, close again. Getting the fit right should not cost you a piece from the pack.
Breathable backsheet
A cloth like outer layer that lets air move, which is what makes twelve hours bearable.
Odour control
Holds odour inside the product. In a shared room, this is not a small thing.
360 degree stretch fit
On our pull-up pants, the waistband stretches all the way round and moves with the body.
Anti-slip underpads
The pad stays where you put it through the night rather than bunching under the hips.
Fit first
Most leaks are a fit problem.
Before you change brand or absorbency, check the size and the leg cuffs. We would rather tell you that than sell you a heavier product you do not need.
- Measure the waist at the navel, not the hips
- Between two sizes, take the larger one
- Angle the lower tapes up towards the hips
- Pull the leg frills outward so they sit flat
- Check for red marks after the first full day
Made with care
Designed with responsibility.
This is a product that touches thin, fragile skin for twelve hours at a stretch. We treat that seriously.
Dermatologically tested
Materials chosen and tested with older, sensitive skin in mind.
Quality checks at manufacture
Absorbency, leakage and material checks run on production batches.
Skin friendly materials
Soft, breathable, cloth like surfaces against the skin, not plastic film.
Built on real feedback
Every change we have made came from caregivers telling us what went wrong.
